In 1999, AMP Productions was born. A common love for music and night-clubbing planted the seeds for AMP emTV. Located in Chicago, the promote group and event planning company began producing both intimate and large-scale electronic-music nightlife experiences. AMP Productions eventually became involved in major U.S. events like Love Parade, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and Winter Music Conference in Miami. In 2006, AMP saw the potential for building an online community of clubbers via its message boards.
